tennie's 2025 holiday gift list

It’s officially November, which means two things:
- It’s my birthday month (29 eek!) and
- Gift-giving season is upon us
Every year, I agonize over what to get my friends and family - the perfectionist in me has to find the most amazing gift that completely encapsulates the gift recipient. If you also suffer from this affliction, we’re here to help! We’ve curated a guide for every kind of corporate girlie in your life so you can give a great gift to your favorite overachiever - or maybe find some great ideas for yourself (wink wink).
here’s what to get for…
She signed up for a marathon because she couldn’t help but accumulate more gold stars and never passes up the opportunity to challenge herself. She regularly attends 6am workout classes and somehow always manages to wear color-coordinated running sets. She’s assertive, sometimes stubborn (only because she’s always right), and the person you want by your side in a crisis.
some gift ideas for her:
- Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 ($155): to protect and support her knees during long runs or morning commutes
- Dr. Teal epsom salt bundle ($17): so she can relax while she takes care of her sore body
- Believe training journal ($19): 2 things she loves most, running and organization, all in one neat package!
- bonus gift idea: one of the co-authors of this journal - Lauren Fleshman - is one of the most decorated college athletes of all time and wrote Good for a Girl: A Woman Running in a Man’s World, a memoir about how sports are failing young female athletes - a good read for your favorite overachiever feminist
- Lululemon everywhere belt bag ($38): hands-free running for the win (you can also get the smaller running-specific one, but the everyday is going to get more uses and hold more - like her GUs, headphone case, etc.)
- Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C serum ($85): for that post-run glow that describes her future job title
She has fallen asleep in the 9am all-hands meeting before. Her Google Calendar is the stuff of nightmares, and you don’t want to see her Fitbit sleep score. She works hard and has a lot going on, but she will never let you down or shirk on any of her (many) responsibilities.
some gift ideas for her:
- Hatch Restore 3 ($170): this can help her wake up easier and avoid the late-night doomscroll
- Dieux forever eye mask ($25): not only are these super cute, they are also reusable - making them the gift that keeps on giving (to her and the environment!)
- Eberjey Gisele TENCEL modal long PJ set ($158): she can look cute even in her much-deserved sleep (btw, tencel is a sustainable fabric - more eco-conscious goodness!)
- Clevr SuperLatte starter kit ($50): caffeine without the crash? say less!
- Nodpod sleep mask ($38): to sleep better and less stressed at home or while travelling
She means business. The Sweetgreen closest to her office knows her order by heart. Her planner is color-coded and immaculate. New hires are intimidated by her at first until they learn how thoughtful of a leader she is. She’s sarcastic, prepared, and the smartest person in pretty much every room.
some gift ideas for her:
- Ember mug ($38): because lukewarm coffee is for amateurs
- Aritzia Effortless pant ($148): the office siren aesthetic was basically inspired by her (pro tip: size up 1 in these - if she’s normally a 2, a 4 will fit her perfect)
- Beis “The Work Tote” ($148): nobody appreciates a functional compartment for each of her items more
- Bose QuietComfort noise cancelling headphones ($200): focus time to the max
- Father Figure Eau de Parfum ($32): because she embodies this new Taylor Swift song perfectly and deserves to smell like it
She has asked everybody in the office for their rising moon signs and provides them fun horoscopes to brighten their day. Her yoga instructor is her emergency contact. She comes to work every day with a homemade green juice and meal prepped vegan lunch that looks Michelin star-worthy. She journals, manifests, and is constantly reminding her team to take breaks and drink enough water (bless her, honestly).
some gift ideas for her:
- Vitruvi Stone diffuser ($130): aesthetic and calming
- Wonder Wellness journal ($35): so she can check in with her emotions every day
- Pitchworks matcha whisk set ($85): her caffeine of choice, obviously, crafted with the cutest drink accessories
- Birthdate candle ($55): astrology in a cute, cozy, personalized package
- Headspace 1-year membership ($70): give the gift of mindfulness (now that we think of it, might be a good idea for the “I’m tired” girl, too)
She just never really returned to the office. Why would she, when she’s mastered productivity from her couch? She lives the homebody lifestyle so well, and her apartment is the ultimate cozy sanctuary. She can go from an intense Zoom meeting about quarterly projections to reading A Court of Thorns and Roses in 20 seconds flat. She’s independent, creative, and one of the best multitaskers in the game.
some gift ideas for her:
- Courant Catch:3 wireless charging tray ($175): for the optimal home office setup
- Parachute home cloud cotton robe ($129) or Brooklinen super-plush robe ($119): the unofficial WFH uniform
- Bala bangles ($55): to elevate her midday hot girl walks
- Perixx wireless mini keyboard ($35): bonus points if you remove the Caps Lock and F1 keys - IYKYK
- Dash treat maker system ($50): in office or not, she deserves a sweet treat
She somehow convinced HR to approve in-office thirsty Thursdays. She is the first person you chat on Monday morning because she probably has an incredible story from her weekend escapades. She’s maxed out of her PTO after a summer of bachelorette parties - but it’s not her fault she has so many friends! Despite her main character energy, she makes everybody feel comfortable, welcome, and appreciated.
some gift ideas for her:
- Anthropologie satin shoe laces ($28): these are the perfect stocking stuffer or secret santa add-in for the maximalist in your life. what’s so fun is they can take any of her shoes and make them feel new again!
- Anthropologie colorful glass coupes ($36): drinks just taste better in cute glasses
- Mark and Graham scalloped ceramic catchall ($45): a cute spot for all of her fun jewelry - because she’s more of an organized chaos kind of gal. one of those gift where people wouldn’t think to buy it for themselves, but they use it all the time
- Frasier Sterling square makeup bag in espresso ($32) or dirty martini ($28): the cutest, most practical way for her to always look fabulous
- Posh Tech AirTag icon bag charm ($24): making sure she never loses anything on her girl’s weekends, but in a cute way
Whether you’re shopping for your sister, your bestie, or - let’s be honest - yourself, consider this your sign to start holiday gifting early.
And if anyone’s asking what I want for the holidays… it’s somewhere between a Hatch alarm clock and a lifetime supply of gold stars.
