does everybody hate their job?

does everybody hate their job?

Okay, new to TikTok moment here, so please bear with me. I used to be a loyal Instagram Reels scroller (I know, I know… jumpscare), but TikTok? It’s a whole new world. And since I’m posting about professional clothing, I get a lot of content from the corporate girlies side of TikTok. The messaging on there is… honestly all over the place.

Here’s the 2 conflicting viewpoints I’ve seen:

corporate sucks. It’s burnout central. The “crying in the bathroom” trope is real (and boy have I been there). Microsoft Teams notifications give them an instant heart rate spike. They’re somehow bored and overwhelmed at the same time. Women are exhausted, stuck, and unsure how they’ll keep doing this for the rest of their lives.

romanticizing the 9-to-5. Some people love the stability. The routine. The feeling of a job well done, even if it’s not the most exciting task in the world. It’s the cozy vibe of knowing what your day looks like, having health insurance, and getting a paycheck that allows you to live the life you want to live outside the office.

Honestly? Most of us probably swing between the two. One week, it’s “I love the security this job gives me,” and the next, it’s “if I get one more Outlook notification, I will spontaneously combust.”

So I’m curious: where do you fall?
